Becoming an Apprentice Leader

Apprentice Leader Application

The first step to becoming a group leader at Canyon Ridge is by completing the "Apprentice Leader Application". Fill it out completely and return it to your leader or to the church office if you do not have a leader.

Getting Started

If you haven't done so already take our Getting Started Class. This class gives a broad overview of Canyon Ridge's values and beliefs and is important for every leader to know. Getting Started is available online and can be taken here.

Commitments

We require our leaders to complete Getting Started and be Baptized by immersion. We also require leaders to make "Path" commitments (Attend One, Group One, Serve One, Quiet Time, and Invest & Invite).

Leadership Trainings

Your next step is to take our 2 Leadership Trainings. These trainings prepare you to lead and care for your group. Both trainings are available to take online. You can find them in the menu on the left side of this page.

Specialized Trainings & Forms

Depending on where you serve you may need to fill out a Background Check or take a special class (like the Youth Safety Class). Ask your group leader if you need any special classes or forms.

Find an Apprentice

Now that you've completed the leadership process its time to find someone you can lead! We value the continual upbringing of new leaders to help start new groups. This is what makes the church grow! Download the FAQ on how to identify a potential apprentice.
