Thinking About Baptism?
Baptism is a wonderful celebration event where those who have become followers of Christ "go public" with their decision.
We believe the Bible teaches that baptism is for any believer old enough to make a personal decision to follow Christ, and is done through full immersion in water as a symbol of the death, burial, and resurrection.
To register for the next baptism date, please click on the link to the right for this month's baptisms.
If you are unsure of what it means to become a follower of Christ or if you are not sure if you are ready for baptism, we encourage you to watch the "Grace and Baptism" video on this page. You can also read more about following Christ here.

Frequently Asked Questions
When Are Baptisms Held?
Baptisms are available every week after the 9:00 AM service on Sundays at our outdoor pool. Baptisms are also available once a month on Saturday (see the schedule below). November through Easter, baptisms are held inside as part of the weekend service once a month due to weather.
What Do I Need To Bring Or Prepare And Where Do I Come?
For outdoor baptism, check-in at 10:15 AM at the pool area near the waterfalls. Bring a change of clothes and a towel, and wear clothes you don't mind getting wet in. We will give you a God First t-Shirt and a Bible.
Ladies, please wear pants or appropriate shorts (no skirts, dresses or white). You are welcome and encouraged to invite family and friends, take photos, and celebrate this special time together. We will send you a baptism certificate in the mail about 2-3 weeks after your baptism.
What Will Actually Happen At My Baptism
Those being baptized will enter the baptistery pool and be met by the pastor or person leading the baptism that day. We believe that any Christian can baptize another Christian. A short reminder of the new commitment to Christ and what this act symbolizes is stated, and then the person will be fully immersed in water (to picture the death of Christ) and raised again out of the water (to give the picture of Christ's resurrection). Those gathered around cheer and clap to celebrate this decision.
Infant and Baby Dedication?
Because we believe that the Bible teaches that baptism is something that happens after a person has made a personal decision to follow Christ, we do not baptize children younger than 1st grade as we do not feel they can understand the decision clearly. For infants and babies, we do offer a baby dedication service for parents three times a year: January (Sanctity of Life), Mother's Day, and Labor Day weekends. Contact our Preschool Ministries coordinator at 658-2722 ext 240 for more information.
