Acts 1–2 tells the story of how the early church began after Jesus’ time on earth. At the heart of Jesus’ life was sharing life with others. This early church community was marked by generosity in practice and experience. This was in direct response to the Gospel. Their deep commitment to generosity and life together showed how much they trusted and depended on God. Their generous living in Jesus’ direction made them compelling to a watching world. May the same be true of us.
