Good With God | Session 6

Welcome to the final session of the Good with God group study! Each week we will receive a tip for how we can help our group have the best experience as we use the Discovery Bible Study(DBS) method. Download the study guide below to follow along!

Our last tip for DBS is this: Stay focused on the passage at hand! It can be really easy for the group to get off topic and begin talking about different parts of the Bible or other random things too, wait, do I see a, “Squirrel!!.” We’ve all been there and we get it. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, it can be intimidating for new people to hear others reference parts of the Bible they haven’t heard of and could lead them to stop contributing. There is so much substance that can be found in each Bible passage that has the potential to be missed or discounted when there is a new passage inserted into the conversation. If we’re not careful, the conversation could move unconsciously from what the passage is saying to whatever we would want. To dive into what the Holy Spirit is trying to teach in the specific passage, we should stay focused on the passage we’re in!

DISCOVER WHAT GOD IS SAYING

This week we are learning about the story of Exodus 2:23-3:14, 7:1-5. Gather with your people to listen deeply and ask meaningful questions to reveal what Jesus might be saying to you through this story!
